Benjamin's Visual Diary

"Week 10: psychology"

For the tenth week, we had to think about psychology, what it is, and how psychology is portrayed in art. As it was the last week I felt like finishing up the diary with something that felt more in my comfort zone; so I settled with a limited colour palette and worked on a small canvas.

Entries One And Two

For the first two entries, I didn't have an "image" in mind; I just let the drawings draw themselves, all I knew is that I wanted to draw something with a "horror" aspect. I used similar colour palettes, however, this was accidental, but ended up making them match rather nicely.

Entries Three And Four

For the third and fourth entries, I was still rather stuck on what to do and didn't have a set goal; I carried on just drawing with shapes until I felt I was "somewhere" with each piece. The third piece is the main example of this; I drew the fourth piece as a "response" to the latter.

Entries Five And Six

For entries five and six, I was inspired by the latter two entries; I wanted to create something visually confusing to portray the confusion and hardships that may come with various mental struggles.
